The supper club that serves up breakfast classics twisted for the evening is returning to London this summer, with a new home in Islington. After taking past guests on culinary journeys to New York and the Middle East with previous themes, the pop-up is now going back to basics and classic 'Brinner' is returning.
The brainchild of founder Stephanie Sowden, who has put her patisserie training to good use in award-winning kitchens both in England and Australia, MIMOD's Kitchen (standing for Most Important Meal Of the Day) was born out of her own love for proper breakfast food.
'I really believe in using the best quality ingredients,' Steph says. 'And so I spend a lot of time finding brilliant small-batch producers and organic suppliers to work with as much as I can. My tomatoes are all from Isle of Wight Tomatoes and my vegetables on the day will come from my local mid-week farmer's market in Swiss Cottage.'
Using seasonal summer veg, this menu is packed full of fresh produce found on our very own shores - from cauliflower and sorrel purée, to foraged mushrooms and wilted chard. And for that little bit of controversy the evening will kick off with savory elcairs stuffed with pancetta and ... marmite aioli. Even if you're firmly on the 'hate' side of the classic British debate, give them a chance - maybe they'll change your mind? (And if not there'll be a few marmite-less versions too for those who ask very nicely).
Bringing black pudding and poached eggs into the evening, MIMOD's Kitchen is inviting London to sit back with a glass of wine and tuck into a five-course breakfast themed feast that's seasonal and fresh, and how every morning should start... if we only all had the time. So let's just tuck in a few hours later instead, as the sun is setting and the cocktails are flowing!

Thomas Mountford and Jane Hayden are the chefs behind Janie's Food. Quality ingredients, fresh tastes and explosion of flavour is what Janie's is about. Every dish has a story behind it and memory to be made.
Thomas is a culinary trained chef from South Africa who is extremely passionate and full of energy. Having experience in the top restaurants in the country along with working on a 5 star super yacht in the Mediterranean, Tom brings a young, fresh and trendy aspect to Janie's
Jane is an amazing and professional self-taught cook who, with over 30 years in the business has paved the path that Janie’s runs on today. Her love and passion for cooking is shown in every sense of the word and this is evidently seen in the food that is produced for each and every event
