Beer

By using only the finest Kent hops and freshest ingredients, the brewery draw out an unsurpassed, sublime flavour in their artisan, handcrafted beer.

Original Best Bitter is crafted with grist of Maris Otter and Crystal Malts, balanced with Celeia and East Kent Goldings Hops to give a rich, traditional, fruit-flavoured ale. What a corker!

This beer packs a powerful punch with a lingering, moorish flavour that is subtle and seductive, an infusion of malt and apricot flavours.

The Award-Winning Original Best Bitter won over the judges at the 2013 Kent Beer Festival for its freshness and flavour. They were surprised and delighted as it took the Gold medal, a true honour bestowed on them by CAMRA. This potent brew is 4.1%.

A single hopped Pale Ale: using predominantly Maris Otter barley to give a background of light nuttiness; the addition of Admiral hops, (developed by Wye College of Kent in the 70’s) at the beginning and end of the boil, imparts a subtle orangey flavour and an overall crispness to the beer.

Designed, brewed and enjoyed in Kent; a true Kent beer in every sense.

Belhaven’s brewing history dates back to the 12th century AD and their current brewery was founded in 1719, so with almost 300 years of continuous brewing they’ve picked up a few tricks along the way.

Believe it or not, they’ve always been a forward-looking bunch and we count ourselves lucky today that we’re able to brew up exciting new beers in this historic spot, as well as perfecting the old favourites.
